ACR Announces Legislative Help for State Chapters

The American College of Radiology (ACR) will give state chapter leaders access to Statescape, a comprehensive guide to pending state legislation, and will invite them to participate in quarterly State Government Relations Committee discussions for help with legislative matters that are certain to raise concern in the coming year.

The ACR will update its distribution lists for weekly Statescape alerts to include state chapter presidents, vice presidents, government relations chairs, Radiology Advocacy Network (RAN) liaisons and state society’s lobbyists (if one is contracted). Links to the reports will also appear every Saturday in Advocacy in Action eNews.

To assist with preparations for next year’s legislative sessions, the ACR will also help facilitate “guest caller” interaction during quarterly State Government Relations Committee discussions on various legislative issues affecting radiologists across the country. ACR chapter members will be invited to pose questions and seek solutions to challenging state legislative issues through discussions with ACR staff members and fellow colleagues on the call.

The next State GR Committee Call is planned for 1 pm ET on Friday, Sept. 21. For an invitation, or to opt-in to Statescape, please contact Eugenia Brandt, ACR director of state affairs, via email at or by phone 703-715-4398.
