The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) opened a 30-day preview period on Oct. 12, 2016 to enable clinicians and group practices to examine their 2015 Medicare Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) measures and Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems (CAHPS) survey results before they are reported publicly on CMS’ Physician Compare website.
This is an opportunity for radiologists, radiation oncologists and other physicians to preview their performance scores before this information appears on their Physician Compare profiles later this year. Scores can be examined on a secured preview site through the Provider Quality Information Portal (PQIP).
The American College of Radiology encourages you to learn more about how your 2015 PQRS performance scores may be reported publicly on Physician Compare. You can register to attend one of two live webinars CMS will hold at 11am EDT on Oct. 18 and 3pm EDT on Oct. 20. The webinars will give an overview of the 2015 PQRS performance scores targeted for public reporting and the Physician Compare 30-day preview period. Participants can get their questions answered during Q&A sessions at both events.
You can also learn more about Physician Compare, public reporting or the 30-day preview by contacting the Physician Compare Support Team at firstname.lastname@example.org or visiting the Physician Compare Initiative page.
