On October 7, the American College of Radiology’s (ACR’s) government relations team and the Radiology Advocacy Network (RAN) reached out to all ACR members asking them to contact their senators and House members to help stop implementation of a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) proposal to readjust evaluation and management (E/M) codes used to help calculate physician reimbursement.
The ACR believes this particular policy has not been fully developed and will lead to severe unintended consequences. The RAN Call To Action describes the potential adverse effects the CMS E/M proposal would have on radiology.
ACR members should ask their lawmakers to contact CMS directly to urge the agency to reconsider its ill-advised implementation of this proposal.
Please go to the Radiology Action Network website and click on the “TAKE ACTION” button to seek your senators’ and House member’s support on this crucial E/M issue.
