New ACR DSI Pandemic AI Response Community Joins the COVID-19 Battle

The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Data Science Institute® has announced the creation of the Pandemic AI Response (PAIR) Community to provide artificial intelligence (AI)-related resources and tools for clinical radiologists and researchers fighting the spread of COVID-19.

In recent weeks, the ACR DSI has introduced several resources. They include a case repository of COVID-19 cases for immediate submission and distribution throughout the United States and a COVID-19 ACR Assist® Module to establish consistent reporting of radiographic findings of COVID-19.

The ACR AI-LAB provides free access to structured AI use cases for COVID-19, coronavirus learning cases and a repository of AI algorithms available for local evaluation, including scenarios where AI could impact clinical care of COVID-19 patients.

The ACR is committed to working with all relevant imaging societies, medical organizations, federal agencies and industry stakeholders to maximize the collective response to COVID-19 and combat future infectious disease outbreaks. Vendors or researchers interested in sharing COVID-19-related AI algorithms should contact dsi@acr.org to request submission.
