The American College of Radiology (ACR) is accepting applications from radiology residents and fellows for the James M. Moorefield, MD, Economics and Health Policy Fellowship.
Sponsored by the ACR Economics and Health Policy Department, the Moorefield Fellowship program will expose its recipient to economic activities undertaken by the College. The department is responsible for all ACR efforts involving reimbursement and health policy issues that affect the practices of diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists and medical physicists.
During the two-week program at ACR headquarters in Reston, VA, the successful applicant will learn how the ACR develops new CPT billing codes, establishes monetary values for new and existing procedures, and affects national and local Medicare coverage and third-party payer and managed care payment policies for radiology and radiation oncology procedures.
The fellowship is open to third- and fourth-year residents and fellows, though second-year residents may be considered if they become third-year residents before the selection process is complete in June 2017.
The deadline for application submission is June 1. For more information and to apply, click here.
