CDC Names Radiologist to Breast Cancer Advisory Committee

Nicole Saphier, MD, has been chosen to serve on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Breast Cancer in Young Women (ACBCYW). This committee helps the CDC develop evidence-based approaches to advance understanding and awareness of breast cancer among young women.

Saphier, the Director of Breast Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Monmouth, NJ, frequently reports on breaking medical and health policy news for FOX News, FOX Business and MSNBC.

Active in health care advocacy and legislation outside of her clinical and research duties, she is the author of the upcoming book — America the Sick: A Look into the Self-Inflicted Erosion of Our Health — to be published this fall.

Saphier serves on the New Jersey Department of Health Breast Imaging Work Group, the executive and legislative committees of the Radiological Society of New Jersey and the Morris Township Board of Health.
