The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) is requesting comments from health IT experts on its Interoperability Standards Advisory (ISA). Interested individuals should review the introductory Health IT Buzz article and visit the ISA project website to participate.
The ISA is an annually updated, nonbinding catalog of health care interoperability needs and associated standards intended for informational and educational purposes. The resource includes certain informatics topics of special interest to radiology, such as appropriate use criteria communications and image exchange.
While ONC invites public feedback regarding the ISA on an ongoing basis, comments submitted by the September 23, 2019, deadline will help inform the next (2020) “Reference Edition.”
