President Signs Spending Bills Covering Future Medical Research

President Trump signed into law the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (H.R. 1865), December 20, funding federal agencies including Health and Human Services through Fiscal Year (FY) 2020.

The bill allocates $41.7 billion to the National Institutes of Health, an increase of $2.6 billion above FY 2019 and falls between the House-passed $41.1 billion and the Senate-proposed $42.1 billion for the agency in the upcoming fiscal year.
