A recent clarification from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on third-party NEMA XR-29 solutions add to the many reasons CT equipment users should refer to updated American College of Radiology (ACR) Frequently Ask Questions (FAQs) on compliance requirements for the NEMA XR-29 (MITA Smart Dose Standard).

The latest update to ACR XR-29 FAQs was completed on Feb. 19. ACR XR-29 FAQs can also be found on the Radiation Safety webpage of the ACR website.
