ACR Kicks Off April 2019 RUC Survey Cycle

The American College of Radiology (ACR) requests your participation in four American Medical Association/Relative Value Scale Update Committee (AMA/RUC) surveys to be launched the weeks of February 18 and February 25.

Data collected from these surveys will help us provide significant time and value recommendations for the April 2019 RUC meeting in Chicago.

This survey cycle includes the following code families:

  • CT of the head or brain
  • Introduction of catheter or stent
  • X-ray of the bile ducts
  • Lung biopsy with CT guidance

Your clinical experience provides the definitive, evidence-based support the ACR needs to accurately value these radiology procedures.

If you receive a survey, please complete it as soon as possible to give the us the most impartial and representative responses possible from our members. We will aggregate and analyze the data to present its recommendations at the April RUC meeting.

Please note this April RUC survey cycle is particularly short, making your rapid response especially important.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will review our recommendations for implementation in the 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule.

Questions may be addressed by email to ACR RUC staff member Christy Buranaamorn or by phone at (703) 648-8900 x5653. Thank you for your time and effort.
