Radiologists should be aware of the December 31, 2018, deadline to review their 2016 Physician Quality System (PQRS) feedback report and their Quality Resource Use Reports (QRURs).
As mentioned in our October 6th issue of Advocacy in Action eNews, the PQRS program was sunset after 2016, with the final year’s participation affecting 2018 payment adjustments. PQRS performance will cease to affect payment adjustments after 2018. The Quality Payment Program (QPP) and Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) will take its place for 2019 payments and beyond.
MIPS-eligible physicians who also participated in PQRS in the past may want to review the 2016 QRURs specifically, as they could give some indication of how a group or individual will score in the cost category of the MIPS program. Cost was not factored into 2017 MIPS scores, but it will be measured and scored for 2018.
To access your PQRS reports, you can visit the CMS.gov Enterprise Portal and log in using your Enterprise Identity Management (EIDM) account. For instructions on how to create an EIDM account and access your reports, visit CMS’ How to Obtain a QRUR page.
Again, these reports will not be accessible after December 31, 2018.
