The Harvey L. Neiman Molecular Imaging Fund was established to honor the legacy of Dr. Neiman, a medical visionary who dedicated his professional life to improving patient care. Dr. Neiman, the former chief executive officer of the American College of Radiology, led the ACR to become one of the world’s largest and most influential medical specialty societies, taking historic steps to promote health care quality, safety and efficiency.

Dr. Neiman felt very strongly that molecular imaging would become the next advance in medical imaging. Advances in this field will greatly contribute to improvements in the diagnosis of and treatment of cancer, neurological and cardiovascular diseases and other serious illnesses. Dr. Neiman and his family have asked that contributions in his memory be directed to the ACR Foundation to support molecular imaging.
