The mission of the ACR Foundation is to support charitable, scientific and educational programs and services for the promotion and advancement of the field of radiology.
In 1958, the ACR Board of Chancellors founded the ACR Foundation for the purpose of financially supporting charitable, scientific and educational advances in radiology.
Private foundations have been called the venture capitalists of change and progress, providing the financial backing and support that allows innovation in science, religion, welfare, education, the arts and other sectors. It is not common practice for foundations to use general organizational revenues (i.e., membership dues) to fund these critical investments. Instead, organizations like the ACR Foundation fill an essential role in allowing the profession to seek innovative research and program development that prepares the profession for the challenges of the future while fulfilling opportunities and needs in radiology today.
Please take the time to visit the Foundation's website to better understand ways the ACR Foundation, along with your help, can make a difference in the field of radiology both now and in the future.
The American College of Radiology Foundation is recognized as a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization.
