The ACR International Outreach Fund supports ongoing radiological projects in the developing world. The program assists in the dissemination of training materials, identification and announcement of volunteer opportunities, and coordination in the acquisition of radiology equipment.
The program also support the Goldberg-Reeder Travel Grant program which annually provides up to four ACR members-in-training a travel grant to support a radiology program in a developing country. Grant program applicants must have specified goals and support from both the academic program and the facility in the developing world.
Contributions to the International Outreach Fund provide direct support for ongoing radiological programs in the developing world. Funding is used to ship training materials and equipment and to support the Goldberg-Reeder Travel Grant Program.
In addition, the program works with facilities around the world to identify and coordinate volunteer, teaching and donation oppportunities in developing countries.
You can contribute to the International Outreach Fund in multiple ways. The most important need currently is a monetary contribution to help ongoing programs to train personnel, equip facilities and ensure maintenance of equipment and sustainability for the long run.
In addition, volunteers, translators and donations of equipment may also be of use. For further information, please contact Brad Short at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-800-227-5463 x4975.
All contributions are eligible for a tax deduction and contributors will be recognized in multiple ways. Memorial and tribute gifts are encouraged and scholarship and naming opportunities are also available.
