Stereotactic Breast Biopsy

		The Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Accreditation Program involves the evaluation of image quality and breast dose data. Image quality, dose, and half-value layer evaluation will be obtained using either the Mini Digital Stereotactic Phantom or the ACR Mammography Accreditation Phantom and thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD). Our facility is in the process of obtaining accreditation for stereotactic breast biopsy. The only mass case we have to submit was performed more than 3 months ago. Can we submit this case?
Many of the physicians at my facility have begun using an intact tissue device larger than 11 gauge. Is this acceptable for stereotactic breast biopsy accreditation?
I have attended several breast conferences that included stereotactic lectures, but the CME certificate does not break out the specific number of hours pertaining to stereo. How do I document that I meet the initial requirement for CME?
