AMA Consortium Measures
The AMA-convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement® (PCPI) has taken the lead as a measure development organization. Striving to focus on evidence-based measures, the PCPI has developed, as of January 2009, 266 performance measures through collaborative efforts with many of its specialty society members, such as the American College of Radiology. In 2009, 131 of the 153 measures used in the CMS Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) are PCPI measures.
