Communications Award Category
The purpose of this category is to allow the Office of Chapter and Volunteer Development to see what chapters are sending to their membership. Chapters may participate in this category by including the ACR Office of Chapter and Volunteer Development in their distribution lists for communications sent to the chapter membership or significant segments of the membership (eg, members in training or radiation oncologists).
These may include:
- Mass chapter e-mails
- Newsletters
- Press releases
- Letters to the editor
- Other forms of communication sent to the chapter membership or significant segments
Points – 10 points per communication submitted.
Disclaimer: Unless otherwise notified, the ACR may share submitted information with other chapter leaders, ACR leaders, and ACR staff.
Chapter Web Sites
Chapter Web sites will be reviewed and points awarded in the Communications category for chapters that maintain an up to date site. At the time of review (December of the current award year), Web sites should include the most current chapter information, including current officers and chapter contacts, as well as meeting information for the current and/or upcoming year, if applicable. The site should also include information on how to become a member.
Points – 20 points for up-to-date Web site.
