Applications Invited for ACR Fellowship in Health Services Research

About the program

The ACR Health Services Research Fellowship, sponsored by the ACR's Research Department, provides radiology residents and fellows direct exposure to the ACR's activities in socioeconomic and health services research.

The fellowship gives residents and fellows hands-on experience with the process of health services research on issues of importance and relevance to radiology and radiologists. The ACR Research Department is responsible for a wide range of research on practice patterns, productivity, utilization, and cost-comparisons, using data from surveys, administrative databases, and publicly available information. The department produces research papers published in leading radiology journals.

The fellowship is designed to better inform residents about the process of health services research and socio-economic issues of importance to the practice of radiology, and to provide the resident with an opportunity to complete an original research project under the mentorship of experienced researchers in the field, leading to a first author publication in a leading radiology journal.

The duration of the program is a minimum of four weeks; a six- to eight-week commitment is strongly preferred. The ACR will arrange the times of the fellowships with the fellows and their program directors to accommodate training schedules.

For more information or questions regarding the program, please contact the ACR Research department at research@acr.org.
