Shetty Receives AMA Foundation Leadership Award
Sanjay K. Shetty, MD, a fourth-year resident at Massachusetts General Hospital, has been awarded the 2005 AMA Foundation Leadership Award. The award recognizes 20 residents or fellows who have demonstrated leadership potential, and this is the second year in a row that a diagnostic radiology resident has received the honor.
Shetty is the current vice chair of the ACR's RFS executive committee and will assume the chairmanship after this year's ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference in April. He is also active with the ACR's Commission on General and Pediatric Radiology, the Neuroradiology Standards and Guidelines Committee, and the Massachusetts Radiological Society Resident and Fellow Section. Last year, Shetty took part in the ACR's Moorefield Economics and Health Policy Fellowship program at the College's Reston, Va, headquarters.
