New Breast Care Center to Honor ACR Member
Next year, patients in the Spartanburg, S.C., area will be able to take advantage of one of the most comprehensive breast care centers in the region with the opening of the Bearden-Josey Breast Center. The facility is named for ACR member Julian C. Josey, M.D., chairman of radiation oncology at the Gibbs Cancer Center, and Jay Bearden, M.D., the center’s medical director.
According to a March 21 report in the Greenville News, the new 16,000-square-foot center will offer digital mammography, breast MRI, and stereotactic breast biopsies among other services. The facility is expected to open in summer 2008.
