ACR Member's Firm Named to Magazine's Top Ten List
ProScan Imaging, founded by ACR member Stephen J. Pomeranz, MD, and headquartered in Cincinnati, is ranked fifth on the list of 10 best freestanding imaging centers in the United States according to survey results published in Medical Imaging magazine.
"It is very gratifying to see the work of our talented team recognized in this way," Pomeranz, who serves as ProScan's chief executive officer and medical director, said in a company press release. "I think it reflects the dedication, competence, and passion we've put into our business."
"Our business philosophy hinges on the idea that education for our customers – referring physicians – and our own staff is integral to everything we do," Pomeranz added. "Simply producing images of excellent quality is not enough; we approach our customers as partners and teach them all we can about imaging. This sharing of knowledge both enhances their practices and establishes our position as their most valuable radiology resource."
According to the release, ratings were based on modality offerings, patient care and outcomes, geographical locations served, services for referring physicians, and performance. More than 26,000 readers responded to this year's survey.
