ACR Member 'Rocks On' to Benefit Carolina Mental Health Charity
When Scott P. Langford's classic rock group 11th Hour played their first gig for the Mental Health Association of Central Carolina's Cinco de Mayo Celebration last year, they were all petrified. It was not only their inaugural performance for the charity, but their first-ever performance together. But the audience loved them, they helped raise $8000 for the cause, and they're back again this year, sounding, as radiologist Langford says, "surprisingly professional." There are five physicians in the seven-member group, all of whom enjoy making music for the creative outlet it offers, says Langford, and because, unlike their day jobs, there's less paperwork involved.
