ACR Fellow Honored for Volunteer Service
ACR Fellow Hollis H. Halford III, M.D., has been honored for his 18 years of volunteer work with the Church Health Center in Memphis, Tenn.
Halford, a cardiac CT/MR specialist with Memphis Radiological PC, was presented with a Jefferson Award April 3 in a ceremony at The Peabody Hotel. The award is granted nationally each year by the American Institute of Public Service and locally by The Commercial Appeal.
According to an article in the April 4 edition of The Commercial Appeal, Halford reads all of the X-rays taken on the two days each week he volunteers at the center, which offers care to uninsured patients who cannot pay for the services.
