FDA Reports on Radiologic Technologists Falsifying Mammography Records

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently released an article, Radiologic Technologists: Falsification of Documentation, discussing several cases where mammography QC records and American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration cards were falsified. In these cases, facility personnel suffered criminal prosecution, loss of certification and/or loss of employment. The FDA states, “While the vast majority of technologists are honest professionals who provide a vital service to patients, these few individuals may put patients and facilities at risk.”
