ACR Urges Sen. Mikulski and Congress to Address Mammography Access, Reauthorize MQSA
Carol H. Lee, M.D., chair of the ACR Breast Imaging Commission, and R. James Brenner, M.D., president of the Society of Breast Imaging, recently signed a letter to Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski, D-Md., chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science, and original sponsor of the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) of 1992, urging her to address declining mammography access during this year’s reauthorization of the MQSA.
