12/11/2006 - HR 5704 Sponsor Scolds House Colleagues for Failure to Act on DRA Cuts
Rep. Joe Pitts (R, Pa.), the original sponsor of HR 5704, the Access to Medical Imaging Act of 2006, expressed his disappointment and concern over Congress' failure to delay the DRA imaging cuts before they go into effect on January 1, 2007.
Pitt's statement came Friday afternoon on the House floor as he and his colleagues debated the last piece of health care legislation before the 109th Congress. The ACR thanks Pitts and each of the 142 House members who cosponsored HR 5704.
