Can you help the ACR collect practice expense survey data?

As you are aware, the ACR is conducting practice expense surveys. The data collected from these surveys will affect Medicare reimbursement of the technical component of radiology services and impact the practice of radiology . As leaders in your ACR chapter, we need your help.  Can you identify at least five people in your chapter who can complete any of the surveys on families of plain film, CT, MR and ultrasound procedures?

We would like to thank you for the efforts of you and your members. The ACR will recognize chapters with the highest survey response rate in the ACR Bulletin and in the ACR Enews.  Chapters will be divided into four categories based on membership size so you will only compete against chapters of similar size.

Please forward the names of potential survey participants to ACR economics staff at either 800.227-5463, ext. 4780 or econ@acr.org.

The surveys are available on the ACR Web site. The surveys are under the practice expense section.  While you cannot complete the surveys on line, you can download, complete and fax them to 703.391-1757.

Streamline Credentialing – Substitute Alternates for Councilors Prior to the Meeting

If you know in advance of the council meeting of alternate councilors who will replace councilors, you should notify Trina Madison in the Office of Council and Chapter Services.  Doing this in advance helps streamline the credentialing process at the meeting site.

How to do make a substitution:

·         Substitutions must be made in writing.  Please send via email (trinam@acr.org), fax (703.262.9319) or post (see mailing address at the top of this message).

·         Include the name of your chapter, your name and the position you hold.

·         Include the name of the councilor and the name of the alternate replacing that councilor.
