Encourage Your Delegation to Register for the AMCLC

The deadline for registering for the AMCLC is April 19. Please encourage the members of your chapter's delegation to register for the meeting by the deadline. You may want to suggest they visit the AMCLC Web page at www.acr.org/06meeting to retrieve registration information.

If you would like a list of those members from your delegation that have already registered for the meeting please send a request via email to chapters@acr.org

ACR Chairman to Host Web cast on the Deficit Reduction Act

James P. Borgstede, MD, chair of the ACR Board of Chancellors, will host a member webcast on April 17 to discuss the Deficit Reduction Act and what it means for the practice of radiology. Please mark your calendars and anticipate receiving an email from ACR with further details.

Process for Making Councilor Substitutions for the AMCLC

As in previous years, chapters may substitute alternate councilors for councilors who will not participate in either all or part of the council meetings.

If you know of any substitutions prior to the meeting, please notify staff in the ACR Office of Chapter and Volunteer Development so the substitutions can be officially recorded prior to the meeting. This notification must be submitted in writing by May 17 and must include the following information:

  • Name of the chapter president, secretary, executive secretary, or director submitting the substitution notification
  • Name of the alternate councilor
  • Name of the councilor the alternate is replacing
  • Indication if the substitution is for the entire meeting or if it is only for specific council sessions

You may submit substitution notifications using the following methods:

  • via e-mail at chapters@acr.org
  • via fax at (703) 262-9319
  • via regular mail at ACR Office of Chapter and Volunteer Development, 1891 Preston White Dr, Reston, VA 20191

The credentials committee will handle substitutions made at the meeting site. Please be aware that the committee will not approve any new requests for substitutions for voting on the morning of Monday, May 22. Individuals who are substituting for councilors and who are not officially listed with the credentials committee by 3:30 pm Sunday, May 21, will not be allowed to vote in the Monday elections but will be recognized for later Council activities. Substitutions for later Council activities will be accepted again beginning at 1:00 pm Monday.

Third Invoice Notices

Third invoice notices will go out on March 31 to members who have not paid their 2006 membership dues. Please contact ACR Membership Services at (800) 347-7748 if you have any questions.

RSVP for the 2006 Chapter Leaders' Workshop & Breakfast

The Chapter Leaders' Workshop will be held from 1:00 – 4:30 pm on Saturday, May 20, during the 2006 AMCLC. The Chapter Leaders’ Breakfast will be held on Monday, May 22, from 7:00 – 8:15 am.
