Chapters Notified of Dropped Members

The ACR Membership Services Department has notified chapter presidents, secretaries, secretary/treasurers, membership chairs, dues money recipients, and executive directors/secretaries of chapter members whose memberships will be dropped in July for non-payment of 2006 dues. We encourage chapters to review this list and consider initiating a retention effort to get members to pay their dues and avoid being dropped.

If you have any questions about the list you received, or to request a copy of your chapter’s list, please contact the membership staff at membership@acr.org or (800) 347-7748.

Please Identify Your Chapter's CAC Representatives

Ninety percent of Medicare policies are established at the local level, providing Medicare carriers with tremendous authority over payment policy in a given state. To assist Medicare carriers in the development of local coverage decisions (LCDs), each state is required to have a carrier advisory committee (CAC), comprised of physicians from various specialties who serve as resources to their local Medicare carriers. Radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine each have seats on the CAC.

The ACR radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine CAC network representatives advocate on behalf of radiology and all radiology subspecialties for fair reimbursement policies at the local Medicare level.

Please click here to identify your states CAC representatives so that ACR staff can continue to work within this network to encourage communication and coordination among all radiology CAC representatives.

For more information regarding the ACR CAC Network contact Anita Pennington at apennington@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext. 4923.
