Changes in ACR Chapter Relations

A few changes have taken place in the ACR Chapter Relations Department.  Please join us in congratulating Trina on her recent marriage.  Formerly Trina Madison, she has changed her last name to Zeberlein.  You can reach her at tzeberlein@acr.org or at (800) 227-5463, ext. 4998.

The department has experienced a name change.  Formerly called the Office of Council and Chapter Services, the department is now called the Office of Chapter and Volunteer Development.  This name better reflects the mission of our department as we strive to support and enhance the work of volunteers throughout the ACR and its chapters.

There have also been a few staffing changes.  It is with some sadness but mostly best wishes that we announce the departure of Kelly Foster from the ACR effective Thursday, June 30.  Kelly has been a tremendous asset to the ACR Chapter Program since coming to the College in 2001.  Kelly worked her way up from administrative assistant to assistant director during that short period.  During her tenure, Kelly was responsible for overseeing the development of the Chapter Recognition Program.  She also worked to improve communications between the ACR and its chapters (developing among other things the newsletter you are currently reading).  Kelly evolved the old Executive Directors’/Secretaries’ Meeting from an ACR report format to a highly interactive and informative session.  Kelly’s signature work has been with the Resident and Fellow Section where she worked as a facilitator and helped expand both the numbers and involvement of this critical segment of the ACR’s membership.  Kelly has been an invaluable member of the ACR Member Services Management Team and has been involved in several organizational projects aimed at improving customer service to all ACR members.  She is leaving to fulfill a family committment.  We hope to retain Kelly to do some additional work for us in the future.  As her colleague and friend, we ask you to join us in wishing her, and her family, all the best in the future.

Early next month, Jennifer Hunt will be joining the department.  You will learn more about Jennifer and the work she’ll be doing in an upcoming issue of this newsletter.

Please be assured that staff in the office of chapter and volunteer development remain dedicated to supporting you in your work as chapter leaders and serving you as members of the ACR.

Invoices Coming for Members in Training Sponsored to Attend AMCLC

Those chapters who worked with the ACR to co-sponsor members in training to attend the recent AMCLC will soon receive an invoice for their portion of the funds.  Invoices are being sent in the mail to chapter presidents, treasurers, or secretary/treasurers and the person designated as the money recipient for the chapter.  Please contact Merry-Lynn Sheetz at merrylynns@acr.org or at (800) 227-5463, ext. 4496 for more information.
