Chapter Recognition – Could Your Chapter Win an Award for 2006?

Has your chapter recently held a meeting? Are you communicating regularly with your members through a listserv, newsletter, or chapter Web site? Have you participated in a recent state legislative effort in your state? Has your chapter undertaken efforts to recruit or retain chapter members? If you can answer “yes” to any of the above questions, then your chapter could be earning points towards a chapter recognition award.

Chapters can make submissions for the 2006 Chapter Recognition Awards, to be presented at next year’s AMCLC, through December 31, 2006. Award criteria and submission forms are available on the ACR Web site. To inquire about your points or for any questions about the program, please contact Adrian Kosmicki at akosmicki@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext. 4917.

Information from ACR Membership

  • Chapter Payments – If your chapter is expecting dues payments from the ACR please be aware that they currently are being processed for the month of June and may be delayed by approximately one week.
  • Chapter Rosters – Please be aware that at this time of year any rosters requested to include members-in-training will not be correct as we are in the process of collecting training program information from across the country. You can expect updated resident information in the fall.
  • Dropped Members – Chapters have been sent lists of those members that will be dropped at the end of the month for non-payment of ACR dues. We encourage you to contact members within your chapter and ask them to continue their membership.
  • For questions about any of the information above, or to request an updated list of members who haven’t paid their dues, please contact ACR Membership Services at membership@acr.org or (800) 347-7748.

ACR Asks Chapters to Assist with Acquisition of Radiology Practice Environment Information

This week chapters will receive a request to assist the ACR in identifying and/or verifying group practice information in each state. The ACR has launched a campaign to help identify all radiology practice environments (including group and academic settings) and the radiologists that practice within those environments. This information will be used in part to assist the ACR and its chapters in the successful marketing and delivery of excellent member benefits and services while enhancing our collective ability to promote, advance, and defend the profession before federal and state legislative and regulatory bodies. While the ACR will rely on multiple data sources to build this database, your chapter’s cooperation in providing excellent on-the-ground intelligence will be greatly appreciated! For additional information, contact Adrian Kosmicki at akosmicki@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext. 4917.

Reminders – Web Site Agreements & AMCLC Evaluations

  • Web Site Agreements – The ACR contract for Web hosting services has been reviewed and revised. Chapters currently using ACR Web hosting services will need to review the new contract to determine whether or not they will continue to use ACR for this service. A decision will need to be made by August 1. If you would like to review the contract online, you may access it on the ACR Web site.
  • AMCLC Evaluations – A brief evaluation form for the Chapter Leaders’ Workshop and Breakfast is available on the ACR Web site. If you attended either event please take a few minutes to complete the evaluation. Your feedback is critical in helping us plan future chapter events during the annual meeting.
  • If you have any questions on either of these items, please contact Trina Zeberlein at tzeberlein@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext 4998.
