Update on Dues Invoicing for Introductory Members

ACR members in-training who finished their residency in 2003 will have 2004 as their introductory year as a dues-paying ACR member.  Their member types on rosters will say “INTRO”.

During the week of December 8, INTRO members were sent an invoice package from the ACR.  Introductory members of the ACR are not required to join a chapter in FY2004.  For those INTRO members whose chapters have elected to make Introductory members automatic members of the chapter, the ACR invoice will include a line item for the chapter dues, and it will be tagged “Optional” (since chapter membership is not required at this point, according to ACR bylaws).  Chapters that do not offer the automatic membership will not have a line item on the invoice.

If you have any questions regarding the invoicing of the INTROS please contact membership@acr.org or the Membership Services Department at 800-347-7748.

Update on Dues Invoicing for First Year Transitional Members

Last year’s INTRO members are transitional members for 2004.  They will show up on your rosters as member type TR1.  In mid-Dec. transitional members were sent an invoice for 2004 with a letter asking them to pay dues.  Chapter membership is required for TR1s.  If the ACR bills for your chapter, a line item with chapter dues appeared on the invoice.  If your chapter does its own billing, a $0 line item appeared on the invoice with a note that the chapter will bill separately.  If the member does not pay ACR and/or chapter dues by July 1, 2004, they will be dropped from the ACR and the Chapter.

Once the full dues are received by ACR, a membership application and the money collected will be forwarded to the chapter for processing.  Those chapters that invoice their members separately will receive only the application for processing and will need to invoice the members separately.

If you have any questions regarding the invoicing of the INTOS or TR1s, please contact membership@acr.org or the Membership Services Department at 800-347-7748.

The ACR Needs Your Help Regarding Guidelines/Standards Online Commenting

For several years the ACR has offered its members the opportunity to comment on proposed Guidelines and Technical Standards online. The response to the online commenting periods has been disappointing, and ACR leadership would like to gather information about your opinion on online commenting with the aim of improving the process to better meet the needs of the membership.

Drs. Paul Ellenbogen, Albert Blumberg, Jeffrey Weinreb and Paul Larson would like all chapter leaders to take a few minutes to complete the guidelines/technical standards online commenting survey.  The results will be collated and shared with the members.

CLICK HERE to access this short (5 minutes or less) survey.  Contact ACR staff at 800.227.5463, ext. 4247 or ext. 4110, or guidelines_standards@acr.org if you have any questions.
