Presentation to Educate People About RADPAC
Would you like to spread the RADPAC message but do not know what facts and figures to give? Click here to view a RADPAC presentation that will help explain
RADPAC's importance to the future of radiology at your next chapter meeting. If you need more information, please contact Heather Kaiser at heatherk@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext 4543.
One Final Chance to Comment on Standards and Guidelines
ACR members have one final chance to review and comment on the guidelines and standards that will be presented at the ACR's Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference in April in Washington, DC. All comments will be collated and distributed to the assigned reference committees. The Council may still debate a guideline or standard on the meeting floor, but only in the context of an "up" or "down" vote on the document as finalized by the reference committee.
The guidelines and standards are available on the ACR Web site until February 18. To review these items and to comment, please click here.
Process for Making Councilor Substitutions During the AMCLC
As in previous years, chapters may substitute alternate councilors for councilors who will not participate in either all or part of the council meetings.
If you know of any substitutions prior to the meeting, please notify staff in the ACR Office of Council and Chapter Services so the substitutions can be officially recorded prior to the meeting.
This notification must be submitted in writing by April 6 and must include the following information:
- Name of the chapter president, secretary, executive secretary, or director submitting the substitution notification
- Name of the alternate councilor
- Name of the councilor the alternate is replacing
- Indication if the substitution is for the entire meeting or if it is only for specific council sessions
You may submit substitution notifications using the following methods:
- via e-mail at chapters@acr.org
- via fax at (703) 262-9319
- via regular mail at ACR Office of Council and Chapter Services, 1891 Preston White Dr, Reston, VA 20191
If you have any questions about this process, please contact Merry-Lynn Sheetz at merrylynns@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext 4496.
The credentials committee will handle substitutions made at the meeting site. Please be aware that the committee will not approve any new requests for substitutions for voting on the morning of Monday, April 11. Individuals who are substituting for councilors and who are not officially listed with the credentials committee by 3:30 pm Sunday, April 10, will not be allowed to vote in the Monday elections but will be recognized for later Council activities. These substitutions can be made with the credentials committee beginning Wednesday, April 13.
