Look for the 2005 ACRa Dues Billing Contract |
|
||
|
|
On Feb.
17, 2004 the 2005 ACRa Chapter Billing Contract with a cover letter was
emailed (or mailed) to each chapter president, chapter executive
director/secretary and the person designated as the chapter mail
recipient. The ACR will be converting
to a new software system this summer.
To accommodate the change, we will implement new procedures for
billing. Although the changes may not
significantly impact your chapter, the changes do warrant a new contract for
each chapter. We hope
you have received this information in ample time for your chapter to review
at its next meeting. Please have
your chapter officers review and return Page 3 of the contract before the
Oct. 1, 2004 deadline. Every
chapter (whether ACR invoices or not) has been asked to respond by returning page
3 of the ACRa/Chapter Billing Agreement.
Since the information was sent to all Chapter Presidents, Chapter
Executive Directors/Executive Secretaries and Chapter Mail Recipients, please
coordinate your efforts and return only one original signed contract page. If you have any questions or need an additional copy,
please contact Barbara Quattrone, in the Membership Services Department at
800.347.7748; email her at barbaraq@acr.org. You may also write to membership@acr.org. |

Preparing for the Council Meeting – How You
Can Help Streamline the Credentialing Process for Councilors and Alternates |
|
||
|
|
Nothing is constant when it
comes to councilors being able to fulfill their duties during the ACR Annual
Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference.
Inevitably someone’s schedule will change and he or she will not be
able to attend or he or she may need to leave the meeting early. Please review the following process for
substituting an alternate in for a councilor. If you know prior to the meeting
that a councilor will not be able to fulfill his or her duty, then a chapter
officer or executive director or secretary should notify the ACR prior to May
5th in writing that Alternate Councilor X will replace Councilor
Y. In your notification be sure to
include the following: ·
Your name and the position you hold in the chapter ·
The name of the councilor who is unable to serve ·
The name of the alternate councilor who will serve
in the councilor’s place ·
Will this substitution be for the entire meeting or
for specific days? Send this information to the
attention of Merry-Lynn Sheetz via email at merrylynns@acr.org or via fax at 703.262.9139. If you do not know prior to the
meeting, a chapter officer or executive director or secretary will be able to
fill out a form at the credentials desk to officially make a substitution at
the meeting site. Please direct questions about this process to Merry-Lynn at either merrylynns@acr.org or 800.227.5463, ext. 4353. |

Chapter leaders and members are reminded about one of the
benefits of ACR membership: free
use of the ACR Professional Bureau.
Members looking to hire a diagnostic or interventional radiologist,
nuclear medicine physician, radiation oncologist, or medical physicist may
post their job opening for free on our Web site – www.acr.org. Curriculum vitas of members looking for a
position can also be posted for free. Currently there are over 2,000 searchable resumes in the
ACR Professional Bureau database.
These job seekers are sending out an average of over 400 applications
per week. Slightly over 800 jobs are
also posted on the site. Don’t miss this opportunity to find someone to fill an
available position or identify a position for you. The registration and posting process is easy, and staff is
available to help you, should you encounter a problem. Just call us Monday – Friday, 9:00 A.M. –
5:00 P.M. EST on 800.227.3370, or e-mail us at pro-bur@acr.org. |
