Just a Few Weeks Left to Help Your Chapter Earn
an ACR Chapter Recognition Award |

The deadline for making submissions for the first annual
ACR Chapter Recognition Awards is Dec. 31, 2003. Up to sixteen chapters will receive awards before the ACR
Council during the ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference in
May 2004. There are four award categories in this program: ·
Membership,
·
Meetings
and Education, ·
Media
and Communications and ·
Government
Relations. How to Participate There are a variety of ways chapters
can vie for awards in each of the categories. Within each award category,
there are specific forms and types of information chapters may submit to the
ACR in order to participate in the program. Most of these submissions can be
made via the Internet. Many chapter
leaders have already used these online forms to help their chapter earn
points towards a recognition award. CLICK HERE for more

Last Call for Nominations for ACR Elections |
|
||
|
|
Dec. 31 is the deadline for
submitting names to the ACR Nominating Committee for consideration for the
2004 ACR elections. The Committee will make
recommendations for candidates: ·
to fill the office of president, vice president,
council speaker and council vice speaker; ·
to fill positions on the board, (one eligible to be
re-elected, one eligible to be elected to chair the Commission on Membership
and Chapter Programs and one new position to chair the Commission on
Economics); ·
to fill positions on the Council Steering
Committee; ·
to fill positions on the College Nominating
Committee; and ·
for members in training and a private practice
representative to attend the Intersociety Summer Conference. More
details about these positions and their eligibility requirements and
information about how to make nominations is available via the ACR Web

How to Prepare a Resolution for the 2004

|
|
The deadline for submitting resolutions
for the 2004 ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference is Feb. 1,
2004. The Council Speaker, Paul H.
Ellenbogen, M.D., has prepared detailed information about how to prepare and

Office of Council and Chapter Services for publication in the meeting agenda
book. ·
Jan. 31, 2004 – Deadline for chapters
to name residents to attend the Resident Physician Section Meeting. CLICK
