Review the ACR's 2007 Draft Guidelines and Standards Online

As of July 31, ACR members can visit the ACR Web Site to review and comment on the drafts of the 2007 ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards. The comments received will be considered for inclusion in the drafts that will be presented for adoption at the 2007 Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference. There will be five comment periods for review of draft guidelines, each lasting four weeks.

Listed below are the drafts available for review in the first field review period from July 31 - August 25:

  • Ultrasound Examination of the Abdomen and/or Retroperitoneum (AIUM)
  • Antepartum Obstetrical Ultrasound - (AIUM, ACOG)
  • Saline Infusion Sonohysterography (SIS) - (AIUM, ACOG)
  • CT Perfusion in Neuroradiologic Imaging - (ASNR)
  • Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging - (fMRI) (ASNR)
  • MR Perfusion Imaging - (ASNR)
  • MR Spectroscopy of the Brain - (ASNR)
  • All of the above guidelines are collaborative with the organizations indicated. This is your opportunity for your comments to be considered by the collaborative committees.

    Chapter Payments

Chapter payments for June and July will be mailed to chapters the week of August 7. We apologize for the delay in dispersing these payments and appreciate your patience.

Update – ACR’s Web Site Hosting Service

Revisions have been made to the Web Site Host Letter of Agreement in order to provide clarification for a few items on which we’ve received questions. The pricing structure and services available have not changed; the changes have been made in Sections 1, 5, and 7 to include more specific information on disk space, applications, and accounting. You can view the contract on the ACR Web Site.

For those chapters currently using ACR’s hosting services, you now have until August 25 to decide if you will continue this service. For those chapters not currently using the service, you can choose to do so at any time. Upon notification of your chapter’s intent to use ACR services a contract will be drafted and mailed to the chapter president for signature.

If you have general questions about the contract, please contact Trina Zeberlein at tzeberlein@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext 4998. If you have technical questions please direct them to Scott Scray at sscray@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext 4558.
