Call for Nominations
The 2006-2007 College Nominating Committee will make recommendations for candidates to fill the office of president, vice president, elected positions on the Board of Chancellors, Council Steering Committee, and College Nominating Committee, as well as four members-in-training and a private practice representative to the Intersociety Summer Conference.
Recommendations may be forwarded to the CNC by any ACR member and must be received by December 30.
Nomination information and a questionnaire that all candidates must complete can be found on the ACR Web site. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Jane Donahue at (800) 227-5463, ext 4902 or mjdonahue@acr.org.
2007 Chapter Dues Information
Chapter presidents, secretaries, membership chairs, and executive directors/secretaries will receive their 2007 dues information packets within the week. The packet includes two pieces, the 2007 dues information sheet and a copy of the billing contract for ACR invoicing.
Dues information is used in several applications at the ACR, including invoices, new member packets, Web listings, and the membership database. Because this information is used so extensively, all chapters must fill out and return the dues information form. If your chapter is planning to change the amount of dues, the form must be returned by October 1, 2006 in order for the new amount to be in effect for the 2007 dues year.
The billing contract is enclosed as a reference for those chapters that the ACR invoices for and does not need to be returned. If your chapter is not using the ACR’s invoicing services and would like to in the future, please contact Membership Services for more information.
If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Quattrone at bquattrone@acr.org or (800) 347-7748. You may also direct messages to membership@acr.org.
ACR Members Encouraged to Comment on Quality Measures
Quality measures regarding stroke and stroke rehabilitation created by the AMA-convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement™, of which the ACR is a member, are now available for public comment. The comment period runs through August 25.
ACR members are encouraged to review and comment on the 11 measures, listed on the ACR Web site, with particular attention to measures #9 and #10, as these are specific to radiology. Online commenting is available at www.physicianconsortium.org.
If you have any questions, please contact Sandra Bjork at sbjork@acr.org or at (800) 227-5463, ext 4987.
ACR Memberships Canceled for Non-Payment of Dues
On August 7, the membership department canceled memberships for non-payment of dues. Lists of dropped members were sent to chapter presidents, secretaries, membership chairmen, and executive directors/secretaries on August 14. Packets were sent via e-mail if addresses were available and via US postal service if not.
If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Quattrone at bquattrone@acr.org or (800) 347-7748. You may also direct messages to membership@acr.org.
Chapter Payments
Chapter payments for June and July were mailed August 14.
Update - ACR's Web Site Hosting Service
For those chapters currently using ACR’s hosting services, you have until August 25 to decide if you wish to continue this service. For those chapters not currently using the service, you can choose to do so at any time. Upon notification of your chapter’s intent to use ACR services a contract will be drafted and mailed to the chapter president for signature.
You can view the revised letter of agreement on the ACR Web Site.
If you have general questions about the contract, please contact Trina Zeberlein at tzeberlein@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext 4998. If you have technical questions, please direct them to Scott Scray at sscray@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext 4558.
