One Week to Register for the AMCLC |

The
deadline for registering for the ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership
Conference is one week away. The
deadline for registration is 11 April.
Meeting this deadline is particularly important for chapter leaders
and members planning on making visits to Capitol Hill. The ACR is working with an outside
consultant, Soapbox, to schedule these appointments for you. In order to do this, Soapbox must have

The ACR Chapter Executive Director and Executive Secretary
Meeting will take place on Sun., 11 May from 12:00pm-1:15pm at the Hilton
Washington and Towers in Washington, D.C. This meeting is not just for chapter executive staff. All chapter officers are invited and
encouraged to attend to learn more about new programs and services available
from the ACR to benefit your chapter. In order to assure enough space, please let us know if you

Reminder About Funding for the AMCLC |
|
|
|
|
This
is a reminder about the funding available to your chapter as part of this
year’s ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference. There are several ways your chapter may
take advantage of funds available for the ACR: 1.
$1,000 CAC Stipend – To
help defray the cost of having a CAC member attend the meeting, the ACR will
extend to each chapter a stipend of $1,000.
The ACR will distribute these funds following the meeting. 2.
$200 per Congressional Visit – Each
member of your chapter who makes a Congressional visit on Thurs., 15 May and
submits a Congressional Response Form (available at the meeting) to the ACR
earns the chapter $200. This money
will be distributed via check from the College following the meeting. 3.
$1,000 towards sponsoring a resident – The
ACR will make available up to $1,000 per chapter to go towards the travel and
lodging costs of a resident attending the AMCLC and the ACR Resident
Physician Section meeting. Please

Upcoming Term Endings |
|
|
|
|
This is a reminder that the
terms for all alternate councilors and councilors with terms ending this year
will end on 31 May 2003. Staff in the
Office of Council and Chapter Services will send out notifications of
vacancies in your chapter’s roster of councilors and alternates in June. Also, many chapter have officers with terms ending in the next two months. Please make sure to notify the ACR Office of Council and Chapter Services with information about new officers, councilor and alternate councilors. You may do this via mail (see address above, fax (703.26.9319) or email (chapters@acr.org). |
