Chapter Leaders’ Breakfast

Date - Monday, May 22, 2006

Time - 7:00am – 8:15am

Charles D. Williams, MD, FACR

Ariel Gonzalez, ACR State Legislative Specialist

The primary focus of the breakfast will be a discussion of the radiologist assistant (RA) issue. Dr Williams will provide background on the issue and discuss the role that the ACR has played, and continues to play, in the development of the RA position. Ariel will address recent state legislative efforts. The breakfast will also provide attendees with an opportunity to talk with fellow chapter leaders and executives.

ACR Fellowship Nominations Are Due May 1

The deadline for chapters to submit fellowship nominations is May 1. Nominations received by this date will be considered for awards to be made at the 2007 annual meeting.

ACRIN Fund for Imaging Innovation Enters Final Weeks of Campaign

There is still time for individuals or radiology practices to make a pledge to the ACRIN Fund for Imaging Innovation and to be recognized during the fund’s Victory Celebration at the ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference. Due to popular demand, the Deficit Reduction Act webcast held by James P. Borgstede, MD, on April 17 is now available for member-only access 24 hours a day.

Submit Councilor Substitutions for the AMCLC by May 17

Chapters may substitute alternate councilors for councilors who will not participate in all or part of the council meetings. If you know of any substitutions before the meeting, please notify staff in the ACR Office Chapter and Volunteer Development so the substitutions can be officially recorded before the meeting.
