Chapter presidents, executive directors and secretaries, and the person designated as the chapter mail recipient received a copy of the billing contract in February. Only one copy of the billing contract needs to be completed and returned to the ACR. The ACR converted to a new software system in July. In order to accommodate the change, we will implement new procedures for billing and therefore require all chapters to complete and return the 2005 ACRa Chapter Billing Contract.
If you have any questions or need an additional copy of the contract, please contact Barbara Quattrone in the Membership Services Department at (800) 347-7748 or at barbaraq@acr.org. You may also write to membership@acr.org.

It's Time to Start Thinking About Sponsoring Residents to Attend the 2005 AMCLC
Labor Day has just passed and we're looking forward to the 2005 AMCLC. Please begin thinking about sponsoring one or more residents or fellows to attend the AMCLC and the Resident and Fellow Section meeting. Chapter leaders who attended last year's AMCLC may recall the impact the meeting experience had on over 90 residents and fellows. Last year, some chapter leaders, recognizing the role this meeting plays in developing chapter and ACR leaders, increased the number of residents they sponsored to attend the meeting. The ACR helps support chapters who sponsor residents by offering $1,000 per chapter.
Next month, chapter leaders will receive a formal invitation to sponsor residents and fellows to attend the AMCLC and RFS meeting. In the meantime, you may consider identifying residents and fellows to attend the meeting April 9-14, 2005. Please contact Kelly Foster at (800) 227-5463, ext 4917 or at kellyf@acr.org for more information.
Resource Guide for Chapters: Establishing a State Political Action Committee
RADPAC recently developed a state PAC resource for chapters interested in creating their own political action committee. With the development of the College's state legislative program and with many issues impacting ACR members at the state level, many chapters have requested information on how to establish a state PAC. To access this resource, click here. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Ted Burnes, director of RADPAC, at (888) 295-8843 or via e-mail at tedb@acr.org, or you may also contact Heather Kaiser via e-mail at heatherk@acr.org.
