Deadline Change for 2005 Council Resolutions

The Council Steering Committee met this week and decided to change the deadline for submission of resolutions for the 2005 Council meeting to January 17, 2005. By moving the deadline up 4 weeks, the Council Steering Committee will be able to ensure chapter officers and councilors are able to receive the resolutions in time to provide adequate review prior to the Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference in April.

As a reminder, resolutions should be submitted in the ACR resolution format and contain a fiscal note. Resolutions should be submitted in writing to Brad Short via post (1891 Preston White Dr, Reston, VA 20191), via e-mail (brads@acr.org), or via fax (703) 262-9319. Last Week to Return ACR Dues Billing Contract

All chapters, whether they use the ACR dues billing service or not, are asked to return page 3 of the dues billing contract by October 1.

Third Group of 2005 Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards Available for Review and Comment

Listed below is the third group of 2005 draft guidelines for field review. These guidelines will be presented at the ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference in April 2005. This third group of drafts will be available for comment and review from September 13, 2004, through October 15, 2004.

  • ACR Practice Guideline for Pediatric Sedation/Analgesia

News From the Chapters: Hawaii Radiological Society Launches New Web Site

The Hawaii Radiological Society recently launched a new Web site. According to Kryss Kojima, MD, chapter president, the goal of the site is to improve communications. The new site uses slide presentations to educate members about issues affecting the practice of radiology, like mammography reimbursement.
