Additional Funding Available for Sponsoring Members-in-Training to Attend the 2006 AMCLC
We’d like to make you aware of additional funding that will be available to chapters that choose to sponsor residents and fellows to attend the 2006 ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference and Resident and Fellow Section meeting in Washington DC May 20-25. Historically, the ACR has offered $1,000 to each chapter sponsoring 1 or more residents to attend the meeting. This year, we have increased the available contribution and will offer $2,000 to those chapters that choose to send at least 2 residents to the AMCLC. This additional funding was approved to increase the number of residents and fellows participating in the meeting and to create opportunities for members-in-training to see first hand how important it is to be actively involved in the ACR.
As a chapter leader, look forward to receiving more information later this month explaining how chapters can sponsor members-in-training to attend the 2006 ACR AMCLC.
Third Set of Drafts of 2006 Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards Available Online
ACR members can review and comment on the drafts of the 2006 ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards on the ACR Web site. The comments will be considered for inclusion in the drafts that will be presented for adoption at the 2006 Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference next spring. There will be 5 comment periods for review of draft guidelines, each lasting 4 weeks.
The third group of drafts will be available for review and comment through October 21. Click here to access the drafts.
If you have any questions contact Margaret Wyatt at mwyatt@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext. 4491.
Deadline Nears for Returning 2006 ACRa Chapter Billing Contract and FY 2006 Dues Information Forms
This is a reminder that all chapters need to complete and return page 3 of the 2006 ACRa Chapter Billing Contract and the 2006 Dues Information Form by October 15.
Chapter presidents, executive directors and secretaries, and the person designated as the chapter mail recipient received a copy of the contract and dues information sheet in mid September. Although multiple people within the chapter received this information we ask that you please coordinate your efforts and return only 1 copy of the billing contract and dues information sheet.
If you have any questions or need an additional copy of the information that was sent, please contact Barbara Quattrone in the Membership Services Department at (800) 347-7748 or at barbaraq@acr.org. You may also write to membership@acr.org.
ACR Members Dropped for Non-Payment of Dues
The ACR Membership Services Department has cancelled memberships for those individuals that have not paid their dues for 2005. Chapter leaders should anticipate receiving a notification within the next week with a list of chapter members whose memberships were cancelled.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Barbara Quattrone in the Membership Services Department at (800) 347-7748 or at barbaraq@acr.org.
