ACR Implements New Association Management Software

On July 6, the ACR will launch a new association management software system. This technology will be used to track memberships, member demographics, meeting registrations, product purchases, and much more. The ACR staff has spent many months preparing for the transition and testing the new system. While we expect a smooth transition, we also realize there may be a few snags along the way. We will do our best to ensure that you continue to receive the same standard of service in the next few weeks. We look forward to leveraging the new system to provide better service to you and your members in the future. If you have any questions about our transition to this new system, please contact Kelly Foster at kellyf@acr.org or (800) 227-5463, ext 4917.

Report on the Chapter Workshop

The 2004 AMCLC saw a new approach to organizing a meeting for chapter leaders, executive directors, and executive secretaries. Representatives from 15 chapters participated in this year’s chapter workshop, held on May 8, 2004. Please click here to read a detailed account of the workshop.

Chapters Notified of Dropped Members

On June 28, staff in the ACR Membership Services Department sent a notification to chapter presidents, secretaries, secretary/treasurers, membership chairs, dues money recipients, and executive directors/secretaries of chapter members whose memberships were dropped for nonpayment of 2004 dues. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Barbara Quattrone at barbaraq@acr.org or (800) 347-7748.

ACR to Begin Annual Collection of Member-in-Training Information

As a service to chapters to support their efforts to work with members in training, the ACR annually collects and shares the names of residents and fellows in training programs across the country. In July, staff in the ACR Membership Services Department will begin contacting all residency and fellowship training programs for diagnostic radiology and radiation oncology to collect current information about people who are in training. Typically, 98% of all programs contacted respond to the request for information. The ACR uses data collected from training programs to maintain and create membership records for members in training.Chapters also have access to this information through membership rosters routinely sent during the year by the ACR and by making specific requests any time for a roster of members in training. Please keep in mind that because of the time it takes for training programs to respond to the request and the volume of data ACR staff have to enter, it will be several months before rosters of residents and fellows are updated to accurately reflect the 2004-2005 training year.If you have questions about getting information regarding members in training in your chapter, please contact Barbara Quattrone at barbaraq@acr.org or (800) 347-7748.
