Facing a Government Relations Issue at the State Level: A Scenario From the 2004 Chapter Workshop
As mentioned in the report on the 2004 ACR Chapter Workshop, we will be presenting the scenarios and solutions that groups identified in the “Scenario Thinking” section of the workshop. Scenario thinking is a mental exercise used in many organizations to prepare for potential future events. One of the scenarios presented at the workshop focused on chapters and government relations. What would you do if your lobbyist called first thing on a Tuesday morning and informed the chapter president that the state legislature is going to hold a vote on Thursday afternoon on an issue that will adversely impact the practice of radiology in your state? Click here to read the full scenario. We will share the solutions people came up with at the Chapter Workshop in the next issue of this newsletter.
