April 9 is the Deadline for AMCLC Registration

Next Friday, April 9, is the deadline for registering for the 2004 AMCLC. If you plan to attend the meeting, please make sure to complete and submit the registration form. In addition to helping us know who is coming, information from the registration form is used to make appointments for congressional visits. The AMCLC registration form is available on the ACR Web site.

Please also make your hotel reservation. The deadline for reserving your room in April 12. There are several ways to contact the hotel:

When making your reservation, be sure to reference the group code "ACR" to ensure the group room rate.

Final Invoice for 2004 Mailed

The ACR mailed its last invoices for dues year 2004 this week. In mid-April we will send each chapter a list of its members who have not paid their ACR or chapter dues. This gives your chapter an opportunity to contact those members and encourage them to pay their invoice.

ACR Chapter Workshop Promises New Ideas for Chapter Leaders and Staff

You may remember the ACR Chapter Executive Director and Executive Secretary Meeting from previous ACR annual meetings. Past participants have said this meeting was valuable, but it was too short and it did not delve deep enough into the pressing issues of chapter leaders. We listened to your feedback and are pleased to offer the ACR Chapter Workshop at this year's AMCLC Saturday, May 8, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is an interactive, in-depth educational workshop for current and new chapter leaders and executive staff.

Ensure the Use of Accurate Addresses for Mailings

ACR members are mobile! We process up to 1,200 address changes each month. Experience has shown that if you use a "stale" data file for your mailings (anything older than one month), you increase your chances of the recipient not receiving the mail.

Prior to mailing anything to your members, you are welcome to check with us to procure the most up-to-date address information we have on your members. Please contact staff in the Office of Council and Chapter Services at (800) 401-1438 or chapters@acr.org. You may also contact Membership Services at (800) 347-7748 or membership@acr.org.
