ACR Fellow Leonard Berlin, MD, will be honored by the Chicago Radiological Society with its Distinguished Service Award at its April 21 meeting. Berlin is professor of radiology at Rush Medical College and chair of the radiology department at Rush North Shore Medical Center. He also maintains a teaching position at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Berlin is active in countless national and local professional organizations and will become president-elect of the Illinois Radiological Society on May 1. Berlin's son, ACR member Jonathan W. Berlin, MD, will introduce his father at the award ceremony.

ACR Fellows Sarah S. Donaldson, MD, and Etta D. Pisano, MD, were recently honored by the American Medical Women's Association for their achievements in medicine.

Donaldson, secretary/treasurer of the ACR's Board of Chancellors and a professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford University's School of Medicine, was presented with the Elizabeth Blackwell Medal. Donaldson was recognized for her "exceptional achievements and commitment to the field of pediatric radiation oncology," said AMWA President Diane Helentjaris, MD.

Pisano, a member of the Society of Breast Imaging's Research Grant Committee and Postgraduate Faculty and a professor of radiology and biomedical engineering and director of the Biomedical Research Imaging Center at the University of North Carolina, was presented with the Woman in Science Award of Medicine. AMWA presents this award to a female physician who has made exceptional contributions to medicine, particularly in the areas of women's health.
