RADPAC Update: RADPAC: 2004 vs 2005
The 2005 year is quickly coming to a close. RADPAC continues its steady growth. By the end of 2004, RADPAC had 1,533 contributors and brought in $561,943.82 in contributions. As of October 1, 2005, RADPAC had 1,365 contributors and had raised $434,004.37. Based on these numbers, RADPAC is on pace to break last year's record for contributions received.
RADPAC hosted a September 27 fund-raising event in Washington, DC, for Sen Orrin Hatch (R, Utah), a member of the Senate Finance Committee; the Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee (HELP); and the Judiciary Committee, that raised more than $15,000.
In the month of September, RADPAC attended 32 fund-raising events in Washington, DC, for members of Congress and federal candidates.
RADPAC also hosted a fund-raising event for Rep Michael Burgess, MD, this past October in Washington, DC. Before heading to Congress in 2003, Burgess was a respected physician of obstetrics and gynecology in Lewisville, Texas. Burgess sits on the House Energy & Commerce Committee.
