The American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) are pleased to announce the second annual combined conference for radiologist and administrators.

This leadership program will consist of current topics confronting radiologists and administrators delivered by a dynamic faculty in an innovative and free-flowing atmosphere. The focus will be on the challenges and opportunities presented in these uncertain economic times and to develop strategies and solutions for radiology practices.

The American Roentgen Ray Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Roentgen Ray Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Objectives:

  • Analyze and evaluate the current strategies, trends, and approaches to successful evolution of free-standing imaging centers and IDTFs.
  • Demonstrate understanding of current ACR and RBMA top priorities and activities.
  • Describe the new healthcare reform laws, clinical integration, and competitive forces impacting on radiology competition and growth opportunities.
  • Identify how to effectively manage disruptive partners, promote good citizenship in radiology practice, and maintain sound hospital contracts and work/life balance.
  • List the key requirements for complying with MIPPA accreditation, differentiating a practice and driving quality improvements in radiology.

Meeting Cancellation/Refund Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing and received by October 16, 2010. A $75 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations. NO REFUNDS will be given for cancellations after October 16, 2010 or for no-shows.

ACR has negotiated preferred rates at the Hyatt Regency Reston for hotel accommodations, with American Airlines for air travel, and with Enterprise Rent-a-Car for car rental. Hotel Reservation Policies:

Reservation Information: The ACR has reserved sleeping rooms for meeting attendees. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the ACR cannot guarantee that rooms will be available after the reservation deadline of (October 14, 2010).

Reservations made after (October 14, 2010), will be accepted on a space available basis and may not be at the ACR room rate.

Deposit: First night room deposit or guarantee with a major credit card.

Cancellation: If you wish to cancel your reservation, please notify the hotel at least 72 hours before arrival to avoid paying for one night of accommodations, plus taxes,

Airline Information

American Airlines is pleased to offer a group travel discount of 5% off the lowest applicable, eligible fare for travel to your events and meetings. For reservations, call Meeting Services at 1-800-433-1790 from anywhere in the United States or Canada, seven days a week, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight (Central Time), and refer to the authorization number A1410SS.  Reservations for the hearing and speech impaired are also available at 1-800-543-1586.  There is a $20.00USD reservations service fee for tickets issued through AA reservations, and a $30.00USD ticketing fee for tickets issued at the airport. (Please note:The STARFile number cannot be applied online for discounts).

Car Rental

Special fares have been negotiated with Enterprise Rent – a – Car. Attendees may book online at www.enterprise.com. Select the Date, Time, and Location of the rental and enter 16MT127 in the field labeled, “Optional: Coupon, Customer, or Corporate Number.” Click “search”, and you will be prompted for a PIN number. The PIN is AME.

Ground Transportation

The Hyatt Regency Reston Hotel is located approximately 6.7 miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and 24 miles from Ronald Reagan National Airport.  Taxi fare from Reagan National Airport is approximately $50-$60 one way. The Hyatt Regency Reston offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Dulles Airport every hour beginning at 6am-10pm on Tuesday through Friday and 7am-10pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.   The drop off and pick up points are at 2A and 2H, adjacent to the lower level baggage claim level.

Amtrak is located 20 miles from the Hyatt Regency Reston.  Depending on traffic, travel time can be between 35-60 minutes.  Taxi fare from the Union Station Amtrak Station is approximately $70 one way.
