  • Explain how improving quality and safety can contribute to solving some of the quality issues that are part of the current National health care dilemma.
  • Develop specific ways to improve safety within a radiology department.
  • Identify the importance of appropriate radiologic imaging, and how to implement improvements in this area
  • Describe how to apply basic quality improvement tools within a radiology department.
  • Recognize critical indicators of professional performance, and understand how to implement improvement programs within your department.

ACR has negotiated preferred rates at the Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix for hotel accommodations, with American Airlines for air travel, and with Enterprise Rent-a-Car for car rental. Hotel Overview

The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix is a premier hotel in the Southwest, nestled in the heart of the city's shopping, dining and financial district. Planted firmly in the Salt River Valley, or "Valley of the Sun", Phoenix, Arizona is surrounded by a series of stunning desert mountain ranges, including South Mountain Park, the largest metropolitan park on Earth.  Called “Hoozdo” in the Navajo language, meaning “this place is hot,” Phoenix, also has some of the highest seasonal temperatures anywhere in the world.

Hotel Reservation Information

Room rate: $169 single/double (plus tax/service charge per night)

Reservation Deadlines: The ACR has reserved sleeping rooms for meeting attendees. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the ACR cannot guarantee that rooms will be available after the reservation deadline of Friday, September 24, 2010.

Reservations made after Friday, September 24, 2010 will be accepted on a space available basis and may not be at the ACR room rate.

Deposit: First night room deposit or guarantee with a major credit card.

Cancellation: If you wish to cancel your reservation, please notify the hotel at least 72 hours before arrival to avoid paying for one night of accommodations, plus taxes,

Airline Information

American Airlines is pleased to offer a group travel discount of 5% off the lowest applicable, eligible fare for travel to your events and meetings. For reservations, call Meeting Services at 1-800-433-1790 from anywhere in the United States or Canada, seven days a week, from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight (Central Time), and refer to the authorization number A1410SS.  Reservations for the hearing and speech impaired are also available at 1-800-543-1586.  There is a $20.00USD reservations service fee for tickets issued through AA reservations, and a $30.00USD ticketing fee for tickets issued at the airport.  (Please note: The STARFile number cannot be applied online for discounts).

Car Rental
