ACR Learning Files

ACR's popular Learning File® CD-ROM Series offers a unique learning experience for practicing radiologists and members-in-training. The series is designed with a custom interface and features image manipulation, including window/level, pan/zoom; automatic scaling to your screen resolution; flexible control of text and image display; easier text printing; and improved self-evaluation mode.

The American College of Radiology began producing the ACR Learning File more than 25 years ago. The first versions were produced on film as full-size reproductions of original cases contributed by ACR members. Videodisc versions were introduced in the late 1980s, followed by the CD-ROM in the mid 1990s. The Learning File is constantly being revised to keep pace with the dynamic nature of radiology. It remains a volunteer effort by ACR members who contribute their time and case material to ensure that this essential resource remains relevant and viable. Though the media has changed, the message remains the same: Reviewing the Learning File is an effective way to prepare for the American Board of Radiology oral examination or Certificate of Added Qualification exams or to sharpen your clinical skills.
